YOUTH | Moortown Complete Double

Moortown completed the grade one minor double for the second year in a row when they produced a masterful performance to get the better of Dromore at Pearse Park in Galbally on Wednesday evening.
The St. Malachys led 0-11 to 0-8 at the break with Conan McLernon hitting half a dozen points and Ronan Conlon, Shane McKeown and James Devlin also on target, Declan McNulty, Emmett McNabb and Andrew McGrath with Dromore points.
McGrath reduced the deficit further on the restart but then Moortown took over with a brilliant attacking display of football. Jack McGuigan and McLernon both scored goals with Jamie Devlin and McKeown notching points as well. McLernon finished with a superb 1-10 to his name and while Emmett McNabb scored five points for Dromore it wasn’t enough as it finished 2-21 to 0-13 in favour of Moortown.
