Moortown are into the grade one minor league final after a superb 3-8 to 1-9 victory over Loughshore rivals Ardboe in Edendork on Friday evening. The St.Malachys led 2-4 to 0-3 at the break with Jack McGuigan and Shaun Conway getting their goals, Michael O’Neill and Nathan Bell with points for the Rossas. On the restart Bell and O’Neill reduced the deficit but a Shane McKeown goal ended the game as a contest. Bell got an injury time goal for Ardboe but it was only a consolation score at that stage.
