Moy will play Clonoe in the last four of the Connollys Intermediate championship after they justified their favourites tag with a straight forward victory over Clogher at Stewartstown on Wednesday evening.
The winners dominated the first half and by the break they had already one foot in the semi final after establishing a 3-8 to 0-6 advantage. To their credit the Eire Ogs fought back in the third quarter but they were always playing catch up as Moy closed the game out strongly to win on a 3-15 to 0-12 scoreline. Michael Conroy, Ryan Coleman, Jamie Coleman and Adam Donaghy all had points in the opening quarter before Ryan Conroy found the net for the second game running. Ciaran Bogue, Ryan McCaughey and Conor Shields had points for Clogher before good work from Jamie Coleman set up Matthew Laverty for Moy’s second goal in the 25th minute. Two minutes later it was effectively game over when Michael Conroy scored their third major.
McCaughey and Shields helped close the gap a little on the restart but Moy were always in control with GO Power man of the match Steve Donaghy driving them on. Ryan Coleman took his personal haul to 0-7 while Michael Conroy finished with 1-3 as they set up a mouth-watering clash with the Rahillys in Galbally next Saturday afternoon.
