Moy Record Important League Win

The rearranged ACL Division 1 game between Moy and Eglish was played under the lights tonight in Garvaghey and it was the Tir na nOg men that came away with two points from the game. Both sides went into the match on nine points with all to play for in terms of securing a place in the top flight in 2014. Moy were 1-7 to 0-5 ahead at the break thanks to points from Sean Cavanagh, Paul Rouse, Emmett Rafferty, Karol McQuade and Eunan Deeney. The goal came from the penalty spot in the 23rd minute converted by Ryan Mellon. Peter McCann, Emmett McKenna and Sean McKillion were among the first half Eglish point scorers.
Eglish were restricted to just four points. Peter McCann and Kieran Colton were among the scorers for Eglish. Moy on the other hand fired over seven point thanks to Colm Cavanagh, Sean Cavanagh, Paul Rouse and Eunan Deeney. Final Score – Moy 1-14 Eglish 0-9.
The result leaves Moy on 11 points with two games to play. Donaghmore, Trillick, Eglish and Greencastle all are on 9 points with two games to go.
