Moy Win Grade 2 U15 Championship Title
Saturday 22.10.2022

Moy 3-6 Dromore 0-10
Moy’s ability to find the net ultimately proved to be the difference between the two sides as they won the grade 2 U15 Championship title at the expense of Dromore at Father Hackett Park in Augher on Saturday morning.
The St.Dympnas had their noses in front early on thanks to points from the McGurren twins Fergal and Adrian but that proved to be the only occasion that they would lead in the contest. Harry Harvey opened Moy’s account from a free and after Diarmuid Quinn scored a 15th minute goal Liam McGeary and Harvey (2) tagged on points as they hit 1-4 without reply. Dromore rallied approaching the break with a brace of frees from Shea O’Donnell after a Fergal McGurren effort from play but a McGeary point enabled Moy to lead 1-6 to 0-5.
Moy would only score twice in the second half but the fact that they were both goals made all the difference. Adrian McGurren opened the scoring before Matas Rumsevicius got Moy’s second major in the 39th minute. Three Fergal McGurren points coupled with one from O’Donnell closed the gap to just two points with only three minutes left to play. Moy though didn’t panic and when Eoghan McGlone hit the net in the 59th minute the title was theirs.
