There were convincing wins in the Murphy’s Gloves Club championship for neighbours Coalisland and Clonoe.

The Fianna got the ball rolling with a high scoring win over Tattyreagh coming out on top on a scoreline of 3-23 to 1-6.  The scorers for Coalisland were as follows: Éadaoin Early – 6 points (5 from frees), Eirne Duffy – 1 point, Cairenn O’Neill – 1 point, Aoife Quinn – 4 points, Milena Mihadjuka – 3 points, Aoife Quinn – 1 point

Sarah Duggan – 2 goals, 1 point, Cáelainn O’Donnell – 1 goal, 3 points, Laura McNally – 1 point, Nicole Murphy – 1 point and Caoimhe Quinn – 1 point.

The Clonoe girls must have taken inspiration from their rivals as they saw off the challenge of a more than decent Badoney side on a score line of 8-10 to 0-7. Orlagh Gavin sent them on their way with a brace of goals midway through the first half. Aimee Hughes and Brianna Quinn added further goals as Clonoe reached the break leading 4-3. To 0-6. On a disappointing day for Badoney Hannah Mc Swiggan, Kerry Mc Garvey and Bronagh Mossey got their team’s first half points.

Badoney enjoyed much more possession after the break but Clonoe’s ability to create goal chances proved the difference. Second half goals from Eimhear Cushnahan, Caoimhe Coyle and Niamh Donaghy eased them into the semi finals where they will meet Galbally.

Kildress lost to Omagh in their quarter final clash, Scorers for the Wolfe Tones were Chloe Tracey 0-3, Ann-Marie Lennon 1-0, Eilis Keenan, Eimear McGarrity, Emma Gillen, Shannon Crilly, Sorcha McNamee 0-1 each,
