Naomh Treasa Cruise Into Ulster Final
Sunday 03.11.2024
Naomh Treasa hosted Donegal side Markievicz on Saturday in the Ulster Junior B Camogie semi final at Pairc Eoghan Ruadh. It took a while for the home side to settle but once Roisin Mc Erlean and Grainne Rafferty got to the pace of the game there was only going to be one winner and the Tyrone champions cruised to a comprehensive 6-14 to 1-2 win.
A brace of first half goals from full forward Clare Kelly set the ball rolling and points from Laura Barker, Cara Little, Roisin Mc Erlean, Grainne Rafferty and Beth Jones sent the Dungannon girls in at the break leading 2-6 to 0-1 with their opponents solitary score coming from centre forward Ciara Coulter.

Naomh Treasa piled on the pressure after the break as the Markievicz girls found themselves under serious pressure. Sinéad Flood, Ciara Coulter and Jane Kelly had to work overtime as the Tyrone champions piled forward taking some great scores from distance and adding a further four goals.
Roisin Mc Erlean began the rout with a goal three minutes into the second half before Cara Little and Grainne Rafferty fired over a point apiece. Ciara Coulter gave the Donegal side hope when she fired low and hard to the net but that was as good as it got for the visitors. They did manage to create several scoring chances but great work from goalkeeper Eimear Colton, Bronagh Barker and Áine Mc Nulty in defence dealt with all that was thrown at them.

Naomh Treasa added further goals from the impressive Becky Santos, Cora Mc Erlean and Roisin Mc Erlean with midfielder Mc Erlean finishing with 2-7 after a very impressive showing.
Naomh Treasa were able to run the bench as they eased to a comprehensive 6-14 to 1-2 win.
