The Tyrone team that begins the 2012 Dr McKenna Cup season will have a completely new look as Mickey Harte and his management team have introduced seven of the 2008 All Ireland Minor winning team to deliver the goods.

It looks like a really bold move by Harte to change things up completely in 2012. Only one of the 2003 All Ireland Final starting team is included in the squad, John Devine. Interestingly Devine is the only goalkeeper named ahead of the three McKenna Cup group games. The likes of Owen Mulligan, Sean Cavanagh, Pascal McConnell, Conor Gormley, Mark Donnelly, Davy Harte, Joe McMahon and Ryan McMenamin will all be rested ahead of the National League.

New comers to the Tyrone senior setup in 2012 include Omagh’s, Conor Clarke and Ronan O’Neill, Aghyaran’s Ronan McNamee, and Urney’s Jonathan Lafferty.
