New Tyrone Senior Hurling Manager In Place?

Subject to ratification at the January County Committee meeting, Coiste Chontae Thír Eoghain will appoint Armagh native Mattie Lennon as the new Tyrone hurling manager. Lennon, who played hurling at all levels for his club Derrynoose and Armagh, takes over the position from Tom Magill.
Lennon served three years as Armagh manager from 2006 to 2008, during which time the Orchard County competed in the Christy Ring Cup and in Division 2 of the NHL. More recently, he was Monaghan Hurling manager when they reached the NHL Division 3A Final in 2012 and took charge of the Armagh Under 21 Footballers last Season.
