New York Calling For St Patrick’s Day

The Irish diaspora around the world will be more than busy over the next few days as they make final preparations to mark the feast day of our patron saint. Many people with little or no links to Ireland will turn out for the parades and will join the thousands of ex-pats all across the globe in their celebrations of what it means to be Irish.
Wit emigration having played such a huge part in the lives of many Irish families some of the biggest parades take place abroad in places such as New York, Sydney, London, Buenos Aires and Montreal. It seems to be that everyone wants to be Irish for the day.
The New York parade is famous the world over with many Irish travelling across to the states from Ireland to participate or spectate. This year if you are heading out, or if you are resident in the city, get yourself along to Manhattan and join the craic.
