Omagh and Dromore Advance In U21s

Omagh and Dromore both scored identical tallies as they progressed in the grade one U21 Championship on Saturday afternoon at the expense of Clonoe and Cookstown respectively. The St.Endas won 2-12 to 1-4 at O’Rahilly Park to make it through to the final. Aaron Grugan and Cormac O’Neill got their goals with Conan Grugan and Ronan O’Neill hitting seven points between them. Clonoe had got off to the perfect start with a goal from Danny McNulty while Declan McClure got all but one of their points as they finished with fourteen men.
Dromore will meet Donaghmore in the second semi final after they won 2-12 to 1-5 at Paddy Cullen Park. The St.Dympnas led 2-6 to 0-3 at half time with Arnie McNulty and John Teague getting their goals, Barry Potter and Danny McElhatton on target for the Father Rocks. Ryan Pickering bagged an early second half Cookstown goal but Dromore were always comfortable with Niall Sludden, Stephen McMahon and Ruairi Sludden contributing points on a day when they finished with fourteen men and Cookstown finished with thirteen.
