Mayobridge started the game well and led after six minutes 1-01 to a point with their goal coming from full forward and ace marksman Conor Poland. Omagh were somewhat slow to settle but a steadying score from county man Conor Clarke eased them into the game and they seemed to find their form after that. The sides are level at half time 1-04 each with Ronan O’Neill landing 1-01 for his team while Conleith O’Hare has bagged three points for the down men. It is very close at Creggan and could well take extra time to separate these two teams.

The second half saw much of the same as both sides battled for supremacy. An early goal from the Down men gave them impetus but points from Ronan O’Neill, Caolan Mc Crossan and Conor Meyler had edged the Omagh lads 1-09 to 2-05 ahead with sixteen minutes on the clock. Mayobridge pushed hard for the equaliser in the closing stages but late points from Ronan O’Neill saw Omagh crowned champions on a final score of 1-11 to 2-7. Omagh defender Barry Tierney was awarded the Man of the Match.
