Omagh CBS marked their new sponsorship deal with TBF Mc Elholm and Co with an away win against St Eunans Letterkenny in the opening fixture of the Corn na nOg league section.

The Tyrone school led 2-5 to 1-1 at the break after Eunans opened the scoring with 1-1 from Finn Nolan. Omagh responded positively with goals from Tomas Mc Elholm and Aidan Corry and points from Cormac Darcy, Darragh Mc Garvey, Tom Gallen, Daniel Mc Gurren and Aidan Farley.

Both defences remained solid but Letterkenny opened the second half scoring with a brace of points from Evan Duffy. A point from Mc Elholm and a brace from Corry followed by a goal from Cormac Darcy put the CBS in a very strong position midway through the second half. Finn Nolan split the posts for Eunans but Omagh finished the game strongly with a goal from Conor Fyffe and points from Corry, Darcy and Mc Elholm to leave the final score 4-12 to 1-6 in favour of Omagh.

Next up for Omagh CBS is a clash with St Patrick’s Cavan.
