Omagh CBS Remain Unbeaten.

Omagh CBS met St Mary’s Magherafelt in the final fixture of the Oisin Mc Grath Cup group stages at Garvaghy on Monday afternoon and after a superb hours football the CBS emerged victorious on a 2-10 to 1-9 scoreline.
Omagh started on the front foot with a superbly worked goal from the boot of Caolan Mc Kinney inside the first minute. Magherafelt responded well and by the eighth minute the South Derry lads led 1-2 to 1-1 with their goal coming from midfielder Michael Rogers.
The pace of the game continued with both sides creating chances but finding both defences hard to penetrate. Points from Aodhan Corry, Conal Loughran and Daniel Mc Gurren helped send the Brothers in at the break leading 1-4 to 1-3.
The second half saw Magherafelt on top in the opening ten minutes as they led 1-7 to 1-6 with points from Thomas Devlin and Ronan Colgan. However Aodhan Corry’s accuracy from frees and Matthew Garrity’s goal put Omagh in front again and in spite of the best efforts of the Derry men Omagh CBS emerged winners on a final score of 2-10 to 1-9.
Omagh scorers: Caolan Mc Kinney 1-0, Cahir Cassidy 1-0, Aodhan Corry 0-5, Daniel Mc Gurren, Tomás Mc Elholm, Matthew Garrity, Conal Loughran and Cormac Darcy 0-1 apiece.
