Rannafast Semi Final : Omagh CBS v St Mary’s Magherafelt @ Trillick
Omagh played with the aid of a stiff breeze in the first half but it was Magherafelt who settled quickest, with Gabriel Gormley and Joey Dallot firing over inside the first five minutes. Omagh responded with the next 3 scores with Conal Loughran and Conor Fyffe scoring either side of a Tomas Gallen 45. O Kane responded with a point before Tomas Devlin put St Mary’s in front with a converted free after 15 minutes.
Midfielder Gallen levelled matters for Omagh before the same player converted the game’s only 2pt score. Points from Matthew Garrity and Cormac Darcy stretched the lead to 8:4 but St Mary’s hit back with the next 3 scores. The first following a driving run from midfielder Gabriel Gormley followed by 2 further frees from Devlin. Dara Burns responded for Omagh before the short whistle to leave the CBS boys 2 points ahead.

St Mary’s opened the scoring in the 2nd period, but that was as close as the Derry side would get as Omagh began to take control. Playing into the breeze, Dara Burns got his 2nd point before Aodhan Corry opened his account with a free. The same player capitalized on a kickout turnover before firing over, and Omagh opened up a 7 point lead when Caolan McKinney found the net following good work from Gallen. St Mary’s rallied again with points from Joey Dallot and another Devlin free, but substitute Michael McMahon found the net again for Omagh to leave the score 2:12to 10pts with 15 minutes remaining. Corner forward Devlin responded with 2 further points for the Magherafelt side to close the gap to 6, but Omagh were beginning to find scoring opportunities easier to come by . Matthew Garrity hit a purple patch with 2 well taken goals and a further point to seal the win. Lleyton Cassidy got a consolation point for St Mary’s as they went in search for goals themselves, before corner back James McGarvey completed the scoring for Omagh CBS. Omagh now advance to a final with St Patrick’s Maghera, in a repeat of the Oisin McGrath final earlier in 2025.
