Omagh Stage Sunrise Walk
Saturday 03.05.2025
Omagh St Enda’s much-loved annual Sunrise Walk is back for its second year on Saturday, 10th May 2025, raising vital funds for local mental health charity AWARE NI. This special event has become a standout feature in the community calendar, bringing hundreds together to support those affected by depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder — and to raise awareness around suicide prevention, a crucial issue in Northern Ireland where mental health challenges touch 1 in 5 people every year.
Sinéad Bradley, of the Health and Wellbeing Committee, said:
“We’re doing this walk to support AWARE NI, a charity that helps people living with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder — and works to prevent suicide through support, education, and community outreach. By walking together, we hope to shine a light on mental health, show support for those who are struggling, and help break the stigma that still surrounds these issues.”
Every step we take helps raise vital funds for AWARE NI’s support groups, education programmes suicide prevention work, and outreach across the Omagh area. Most importantly, it reminds people that they are not alone — there is always hope, and there is always support available.
Please consider supporting our walk, donating, or simply joining us in spreading awareness.
Sinead Bradley is joined by Aware’s Margaret Mc Crossan and Tracey Monaghan from the St Enda’s club as the club prepares for the annual Sunrise Walk.
