Cathal McCarron got in on the scoring with a free for Omagh before Donaghmore recorded their first score of the game with a fine point from county man Niall McKenna. The St Patrick’s men added a second a short time later through Mark Heatherington before Richard Heatherington received a straight red card in the 18th minute to reduce Donaghmore to 14 men.
In the 23rd minute Dean O’Neill stretched Omagh’s lead to three. Omagh substitute Jason McAnulla fired over their 6th point of the evening shortly before the score of the match. Niall McKenna broke through the Omagh defence and converted an excellent point with the left foot from wide out on the right. The final score of the half came from Cathal McCarron to give the St Enda’s men a four point half time cushion. Half Time Score Omagh 0-7 Donaghmore 0-3
Omagh were back on top again after the interval and were on the scoresheet first with a Conal Grugan free in the 7th minute. They have since had a goal disallowed as it was fist passed into the net.
Grugan (free), Paddy Doherty and an excellent Justin McMahon point have put Omagh in firm control of the game. Donaghmore have only had one shot on goal in the second half so far. 15 minutes to go. McCarron was on target again either side of a Shane Mulgrew point before Donaghmore scored four in a row between the 23rd and 27th minutes. Gary Heatherington, Shane Mulgrew (2), and Niall McKenna with the points. However it was Barry Tierney that popped up from corner back to complete the scoring for Omagh and earn them a place in tomorrow nights draw.
