O’Neill A Major Doubt For U21s
Tuesday 20.03.2012
Tyrone U21s have been dealt a blow ahead of Wednesday’s Ulster championship quarter final clash with Donegal at Healy Park with the news that team captain Ronan O’Neill is unlikely to play due to a knee injury.
The Omagh St.Endas clubman, who is also a member of Mickey Harte’s senior panel, sustained the injury at U21 training on Monday night and went for a scan yesterday afternoon and the results are as yet unknown.
Tyrone now face an anxious wait for a player who was a key attacker on the Tyrone minor side that won all Ireland honours in 2010 while earlier this year he played a major role in helping Omagh secure the Ulster U21 title in Creggan.
