Omagh St Enda’s man Ronan O’Neill has confirmed this evening that he is opting out of the Tyrone Senior Football squad for the remainder of the 2019 season.  Speaking to TTM earlier he described the decision as “the toughest football decision that I’ve ever had to make” and that he’s looking forward to concentrating on his club career.

The lack of recent game time with Tyrone has prompted him to refocus his attention on club action. “That’s my focus now.  At my age I just want to play games.  I spoke to Mickey Harte last night and I’ve no hard feelings at all with anyone in the Tyrone setup.  I’ve opted out and I’ve left on good terms with everyone.  I’ve loved playing with Tyrone and hopefully this won’t be the end of the journey.  I’ll be at all the championship games this summer and I really hope that the lads can go on and lift Sam.”
