Owen Roes picked up the first points of the Intermediate league season with an impressive win away to Aghaloo on Tuesday evening. Cathal Kelly fired in a goal inside sixty seconds and they never looked back. Cathal McShane, Adam Coyle and Stephen Harper landed points but a trio of two pointers from Jody McGlone kept Aghaloo in contention. Approaching half time Kelly got his second major to leave it 2-5 to 0-7 at the break.
A Conor Quinn goal in the opening attack of the second half saw Aghaloo close the gap but the visitors were always able to respond. McShane hit a few points with Peter Kirk also on target while former Tyrone star McShane also raised a green flag. Niall McEloy, Darren McAnespie, Ruairi McGlone and Jody McGlone had second half points for the home side but Owen Roes had done enough.
