Clonoe were crowned division one league champions on Sunday afternoon when they defeated Carrickmore in the final at O’Neill Park in Dungannon on a 1-11 to 1-5 scoreline. The O’Rahillys laid the foundations for their win in the first half as they established a 0-9 to 0-2 lead thanks to points from PJ Lavery, Ryan T O’Neill, Aaron Elliot and defender Dwayne Quinn, Martin Penrose with both Carrickmore points.

O’Neill and substitute Finbar Magill traded points on the restart before Declan McClure’s second score of the afternoon pushed the O’Rahillys further in front. Carrickmore then enjoyed their best spell of the game with Barry Daly finding the net and Niall Loughran reducing the deficit to four but Clonoe weren’t to be denied and an O’Neill goal five minutes from time sealed victory.
