Owen Roes and Brocagh served up a fast flowing and very entertaining under 14 league final this afternoon at Clanabogan before the north Tyrone side emerged victorious. Brocagh began well and reached the break four clear with Dean Canavan their scorer in chief during that period. He bagged a goal and a point for the Emmetts while Tiarnan O’Neill, Enda Mc Guckin ans Barry Crowe Baggley also found the target. However the hardworking Niall Mc Aleer , Oisin Dooher, Peter O’Flaherty and Oisin Devine ensured that the Roes remained in touch as they reached the break 1-5 to 0-4 in arrears.

Owen Roes gambled at the restart moving Oisin Dooher to the edge of the square. This switch proved vital to the outcome of the game as his pace and strong running caused all sorts of problems for the Brocagh defence. Two points from Baggley and a Brandon Mc Kiver effort helped keep Brocagh in the hunt but Niall Mc Aleer’s accuracy from frees and a well taken Adam Mc Colgan goal turned the game in favour of Owen Roes. Mc Aleer hit five fine second half points to help his side to a deserved 1-11 to 1-8 win.
