Two quarter finals take place this weekend in Gardrum Park Dromore in the Paul McGirr Ulster U16 Club Championship.  On Saturday at 2:30, newly crowned Tyrone champions Coalisland Na Fianna face Down champions Rostrevor.  Rostrevor recently secured the Down championship with a last gasp 3-05 to 2-07 victory over Newry Shamrocks. Led by their inspirational centre half forward Conor Doyle they scored two late goals after coming from seven points down and they will go into the quarter final as slight favourites against a Coalisland team who won the Tyrone title on Sunday in dramatic style over Strabane courtesy of a last minute strike from midfielder Caoimhin Morgan.

Then on Sunday reigning champions Glen Watty Grahams led by the inspirational Stevie O’Hara face a very strong O’Donovan Rossa from Antrim in what promises to be the tie of the tournament so far, the throw in for this game is 11:30 am.  Rossa set their stall out for the tournament with an ultra impressive preliminary round victory or St. Patricks Donagh and their dangerous half forward line will have to be watched closely. However Glen were superb last year in securing their first Ulster U16 title and with eight of those players returning, will once again prove to be a formidable force and will be looking to justify their ranking as tournament favourites.
