PB Laverty Tournament Proves A Great Success
Sunday 24.06.2012
Moy hosted the Annual PB Laverty under 12 tournament over the weekend which turned out to be a massive success for all involved. In total there were twenty clubs from six different counties participating and 106 highly entertaining matches were played in all. The level of skill and sportsmanship on display was something special to behold. In the end Errigal Ciaran came out on top by a single point defeating Down side Carryduff in the final. Errigal had earlier defeated neighbours Killeeshil in a close semi final while Carryduff got the better of host team Moy to make it through to the last two. In the shield competition there was joy for Armagh Harps who defeated Tyrone side Trillick while in the “Trophy” section Dungannon and St John’s of Antrim could not be separated and thus shared the trophy. All in all, in spite of the weather it proved to be a highly enjoyable day’s football for all who took part and many are already looking forward to returning next year.
