A strong first half showing from the Dean laid the foundations for this Rafferty Cup win over neighbours and rivals St Josephs Donaghmore,

Caolan Grimes pointed four times with Odhran Curran and Eoghan Conway weighing in with a point each in the first half. Those scores were against the wind and Donaghmore replied with two scores from Daire Devlin to leave the Dean four points up at the interval.

In the 2nd half St Joes took the game to the Dean and scored 4 points but the Dean replied with a goal and five points to leave the final score Dean 1.11 St Joes Donaghmore 0.06.
