Clonoe 1-19 Kildress 0-12

Clonoe secured the remaining semi final spot when they justified their favoutrites tag against Kildress at O’Neill Park but the Wolfe Tones pushed them all the way with the ten point margin in the end not telling the whole story.

The Rahillys were into theitr stride quickly to lead 0-6 to 0-2 at the end of the opening quarter thanks to points from Ryan McCabe, Declan McClure, Connor McAliskey, PJ Lavery and Tommy Taggert, Shea Quinn with both of the Kildress scores. McAliskey and Phillip Lennon exchanged two pointers before full forward Corey Holland closed the gap for the Wolfe Tones. GO POWER man of the match McClure was outstanding in midfield throughout and he tagged on another point as did Darragh McGrath and McAliskey to lerave the winners leading 0-11 to 0-6 at the btreak.

Pauric Lagan and Danny McNulty traded points on the restart before a well taken point from centre half back Cormac Loughran kept Kildress in the hunt. The superb Lavery got his second of the game but Kildress stuck to the task in hand and a Quinn two pointer from a placved ball reduced the deficit to a single score. Clonoe though used all their experience at this stage to ensure they won with Taggert and McAliskey getting points and McNulty scoring a well taken goal as they set up a last four meeting with Aghaloo.
