Beragh and Tattyreagh will have to do it all over again after they couldn’t be separated following a thrilling contest at Eskra on Sunday evening.

The Red Knights led 0-5 to -3 at the end of the opening quarter thanks to points from Jack Campbell and Martin Rodgers. James Treacy then fired in a superb goal for Tattyreagh and that enabled them to turn things around and lead by the minimum margin at halftime 1-5 to 0-7.

A brilliant Campbell score levelled matters on the restart before Robert Porter and Campbell swapped points. A fisted Joe Cartin effort edged Tattyreagh back in front only for the superb Campbell to notch another equaliser. Christopher Devlin then smashed an unstoppable shot to the roof of the net and when Rodgers added a point from a free Beragh led 1-11 to 1-7 going into the final quarter.

Campbell and Rodgers had scored all of Beragh’s points between them but the Red Knights failed to register in the final quarter. Colin and Johnny Harkin reduced the deficit before Tattyreagh lost defender Declan Gallagher to a second yellow card offence.

Defender Damien Mullan then reduced the deficit to the minimum before Johnny Harkin’s third point of the game left it 1-11 each. That proved to be the last score on a night when Tattyreagh finished with thirteen men when Mullan was straight red carded late on. The replay will take place at Drumragh on Saturday August 26th as part of a double bill that includes the Division one Reserve championship final between Omagh and Dromore.
