Donnelly Vauxhall Tyrone All County League Division 2

Eskra 0-12 Kildress 1-12
Rock 1-8 v Urney 1-8
Cookstown 1-11 Derrytresk 3-6
Pomeroy 0-11 v Gortin 0-9

Derrytresk came from six points down in injury time to win a dramatic encounter with Cookstown at Paddy Cullen Park. The Father Rocks looked to be in complete control with Christopher Eastwood, Owen Mulligan and Raymond Mulgrew all scoring points and Shea McGarrity getting a goal early in the second half.  Joe McKee replied with a major for Derrytresk but they still had it all to do. The men from the hill refused to give up and a goal from defender Eoin Rea two minutes into injury time was followed by one in the very next attack from Ronan O’Neill as they collected their first league points of the campaign.

Pomeroy scored a couple of late points to hold off a dogged Gortin side at Plunkett Park. It was close throughout the sixty minutes with Hugh McNamee, Ryan Loughran, Christopher Colhoun, Kevin McCullagh, Ruairi Keenan and Diarmaid McNulty all weighing in with points for their respective teams. The scores were tied late in the game  when Hugh Pat McGeary and his brother Kieran got the winning scores for the Plunketts.

Urney collected their first point of the season when they drew 1-8 each away to Rock. Conor McCreesh and Aidan McGarrity led the way in the scoring stakes for the home side with the latter getting their goal. Adrian Maxwell got the goal for the St.Columbas with Plunkett Langan kicking a trio of points.

Kildress had a good 1-12 to 0-11 win away to Eskra. The sides were level at the break with Frank McGurk and Martin Grimes getting points for the Wolfe Tones and Joe McCarroll and Conor O’Hagan replying for the Emmetts.  McCarroll and O’Hagan put Eskra in front but Kildress then crucially hit 1-3 without reply with Enda McAleer’s goal proving to be the clincher.
