Rock collected the Grade 4 U16 Championship title thanks to a comfortable win over a game Naomh Brid side at Aghaloo on Monday night.

The final score line doesn’t tell the full tale of the game as the Brocagh / Killyman select battled gamely in the opening period and only found themselves three points adrift at the break. An early second half goal though gave Rock a stranglehold on proceedings that they never looked like losing and three goals in the closing minutes put the gloss on their victory. 

Naomh Brid led early on thanks to points from Shea Gates and Joseph McNally but that was as good as it got for them. Sean Devlin and Aidan Carroll landed five points between them with Branon Daly also on target as Rock turned around 0-6 to 0-3 in front.

Devlin had another brace on the restart either side of a goal from Carroll as Rock assumed control. Gates and Cormac McGahan had points for Naomh Brid but two goals from Danny McCluskey along with majors from Padraig Mullan and Ryan McElduff saw Rock emerge worthy winners on the night.
