Rock are through to the grade two U21 final after defeating Brackaville 0-17 to 1-5 at the Mid Ulster Sports Arena in Cookstown on Wednesday evening. The St.Patricks led 0-8 to 0-2 at the break with Aidan McGarrity hitting half a dozen points and Francis Bloomer and Neil Mallon also on target. Martin Gervin and Sean Corr got the points for a Brackaville side who were guilty of going for goals when the easier option was to try and put the ball over the bar. Any hope that the Roes had of making a second half comeback ended after only ten minutes as Rock landed eight unanswered points through McGarrity, Aidan Gervin, Mallon, Bloomer, Conor McCreesh and substitute Brian McAuley. Full forward Daniel Coleman got the only goal of the game but it proved to be only a consolation score as by that stage Rock were already looking ahead to a final meeting with Augher.
