Rock St Patrick’s and Augher St Macartan’s should get the chance to eventually decide their U-21 G2 championship title on Sunday, writes Damien Donnelly.
Some snow is forecast but hopefully the game can avoid being postponed after various hiccups along the way to the last hurdle.
A venue for the reset final this Sunday is pending and will start at a 1.30pm, the original game having been delayed by an appeal and subsequent wintry weather causing a postponement until post-Christmas.
Rock ran out comfortable winners over Brackaville in their refixed semi-final in mid-week where the likes of Aidan McGarrity, Conor McCreesh and Francis Bloomer among others got on the scoresheet.
Augher, with the McElroy’s, Donnelly’s and company on board, are hopeful of repeating an U-21 final success over Rock from three years ago in Beragh. But this is a different year and both teams go into the game with everything to play for.
