League champions Owen Roes haven’t lost a game this season so it came as no surprise when they accounted for a battling Fintona side at Killyclogher to book their place in the semi finals of the Donnelly Vauxhall Junior championship.

The Pearses gave as good as they got in the early stages and with twenty minutes gone on the clock it was 0-3 apiece with Aaron McCarney, Pauric Kelly, Tony Devine and Cathal McShane on target. The rest of the half though belonged to the winners as McShane, Ryan McAleer and full back Stephen Kelly tagged on points while Michael Dooher got an injury time goal. To make matters worse for Fintona they lost Sean Connolly to a straight red card just before the break.

McShane and Seamus Dooher added to Owen Roes advantage on the restart but to their credit Fintona fought back with a brace of frees from McCarney and one from play from Cathal Starrs. Owen Roes though tightened their grip on proceedings as the game went on with Seamus Dooher, Gerard Devine, Ronan McNulty and Tony Devine all adding points as it finished 1-14 to 0-7, Fintona centre half back Cillian McCann with the final score.
