Rossa And Ballyshannon Play Out Thrilling Draw

It was honours even in Dromore this afternoon in the first semi final of The Paul Mc Girr Ulster Under 16 Championship after Ballyshannon came from nine points down at one stage to force extra time and an eventual 4-14 to 4-14 draw with Antrim champions O’Donovan Rossa. Rossa had been strongly fancied to advance in this one but Ballyshannon showed remarkable courage and conviction to earn a well deserved replay after their opponents were reduced to fourteen men in what was one of the best games ever played in this competition. At this stage it looks likely that the replay will be held next Saturday afternoon.
