Holy Cross Lose Out In Final

Holy Cross Strabane came up just short in the Danske Bank Arthurs Cup final against St.Columbas Stranorlar at Celtic Park on Wednesday afternoon. The Tyrone lads led 1-6 to 0-6 at the break with Adam Edwards getting their goal.

Niall McGinley added to their advantage on the restart but then the Donegal lads hit back with Oisin Gallen and Conor Bonner scoring two goals inside a minute. To their credit though Holy Cross responded with a brilliant goal from Tom Mullan and when Sean Maxwell found the net again two minutes later they were back in front. The Donegal lads finished the stronger though with Gallen top scoring with 1-11 to his name as it finished 3-9 to 2-15.
