Scor Final Throws Up New County Champions.

The Tyrone Scor Senior final drew a large crowd to Coalisland this afternoon and provided a fine evening of competition and entertainment. The story of the finals may well be the successes of Omagh St Endas who picked up county titles in the Ceili and Set Dancing as well as the recitation with Emma Mc Farlane producing the winning recitation for the county town club.

Their parish neighbours Drumragh Sarsfields lifted the Ballad Group title after many years of consistent competition. Reigning All Ireland Instrumental Musicians Dromore retained their county title while Niall Hanna of Derrytresk picked up the solo singing title. This will come as a nice boost to the Hill Club following their recent narrow defeat in the All Ireland Football final.

The remaining titles went to Errigal Ciaran (Novelty Act) and Eglish (Quiz) and all eight county champions can now look forward to their upcoming Ulster Semi final which will take place on the 9th of March in Glenswilly County Donegal. Congratulations to all the newly crowned County Champions and best wishes as they begin their assault on provincial honours.

Former Scor Fear a Ti Cormac Mc Aleer and his wife were the special guests at today’s event. They received a special presentation to mark Cormac’s many years of service to Scor and his recent retirement from his role as Fear a Ti. County chairman Ciaran Mc Laughlin and County Culture and Language Officer Cliodhna Kerr presented the winners with their medals.
