Sean Hurson has been appointed as standby referee for next weekend’s All Ireland senior football final between Dublin and Mayo, Meath’s David Coldrick has been named as the man in the middle.

The Galbally clubman’s reputation as one of the leading whistlers in the Country continues to grow and no doubt it will only be a matter of time until he lands “the big one”.

Sean has handled three Tyrone senior championship finals as well as numerous other top games outside the County such as the 2018 All Ireland minor final between Kerry and Galway, the Ulster Senior Club decider between Kilcoo and Naomh Conall in 2019 as well as the Leinster senior final between Dublin and Meath last year.

This season he was in charge of the opening NFL game between Dublin and Kerry while he was also in charge of the Derry v Armagh Ulster championship clash, the meeting in Leinster between Longford and Laois and the Connaught decider between Mayo and Galway while last weekend he was the standby referee for the All Ireland semi final between Mayo and Tipperary. Everyone at TTM and within the County wish him all the best for next weekend.
