Tyrone senior Camogie side made it two wins from two starts following a 4-11 to 2-11 win over a talented Wicklow side at Healy Park on Saturday afternoon.

A superb first half display by the home side saw them reach the short whistle leading 2-8 to 0-2 with the goals coming from Lauren Fitzgerald and Lara Devlin. Tyrone hunted in packs blocking and hooking with accuracy and intensity. Even though they managed to open a wind assisted twelve point lead the Red Hands knew they would have to produce a battling second half to maintain their lead.

Wicklow were a transformed team after the break with Katie Tyrell, Laura Manley and Nicole Curran finding their range but Cara Little plundered a goal four minutes after the restart to rock Wicklow back on their heels.

The visitors responded with points from Poppie Rose Cullen Dunne and a goal from Tyrell to get themselves back into the contest. Nicole Curran dragged her team back into the contest with three great points as the Tyrone defence came under intense pressure.

Cara Little found the net again to stretch the Tyrone lead to 4-10 to 1-8 before a goal from long range free gave the Garden girls hope and asked questions of the Tyrone defence. Bath sides battled right to the end but in spite of intense added time pressure the Tyrone defence remained resolute holding out for a 4-11 to 2-11 win.
