Tyrone 0-16
Tipperary  1-9
A good performance from Tyrone who despite conceding a first half goal got into the driving seat leading by two points by the break and maintaining their lead until the end. Tipp did threaten with three points between the sides heading into the final quarter, pressing Tyrone to within a point thanks to Emma Morrissey but the Red Hands finished strongly.
The Tyrone attack caused problems, Niamh O’Neill, Slaine Mc Carroll and Chloe Mc Caffrey were all on target with their defence rigid and snuffing out some well crafted movement from Emma Morrissey and Heather Spillane. In the end it was a well earned senior spot for next season.  Particularly good performances from Caitlin Campbell and Grainne Mc Kenna.
O’ Neill and a brace of points from Mc Carroll put Tyrone  ahead with Morrissey  getting Tipp on the scoreboard, Anna Carey and Lauren Cunningham worked  hard to create openings. Into the second quarter Tyrone  midfielder Meabh Mallon finished well from distance and once again O’Neill was able to break the line for a minor to put Tyrone two clear, the biggest margin between the sides in some twenty minutes of play. The lead did change albeit briefly a minute later when Tipp goaled.
A dropping ball from Kennedy caught defenders and goalkeeper Laura Kane off guard and Ryan     was on hand to push the ball home for the goal and a one point advantage. Morrissey managed two further scores in the half but it was Tyrone who finished strong. Two points a piece from the old combination of Mc Caffrey and O’Neill added to from Cara Mc Namee finishing well from a through ball to leave it a two point game at the break.
O’Neill and Mc Caffrey widened the gap to four on the retstart. A swift exchange of Mc Caffrey and Morrissey points left things as they were yet three points separated the teams heading into the final quarter the red hands still holding the upper hand.  Tipp now threw everything at the Red Hands, Morrissey, English and Ryan doing their best to breach a solid Tyrone defence.
Two Morrissey frees closed the game to a single point with seven minutes left on the clock yet cool heads prevailed. There was no panic in the Tyrone camp indeed Lauren Fiztpatrick made several key stops as a lively attack pressed. A treble of points did follow for Tyrone O’Neill, Mc Carroll and a well marshalled Sorcha Gormley wrapped  up the scoring for a four point win.
Tyrone scorers: Niamh O’ Neill 0-6, Chloe Mc Caffrey 0-4, Slaine Mc Carroll 0-3, Meabh Mallon, Cara Mc Namee and Sorcha Gormley 0-1 each.
