Shamrocks Lift Junior Hurling Title In High Scoring Final.

Strabane based Shamrocks Hurling club have just defeated Naomh Colum Cille in a high scoring game that saw both sides finish with fourteen players each following two straight red cards midway through the second half. a flurry of goals for shamrocks late in the first half paved the way for their win as they led at the break 4-5 to 1-5 with Mark Devine, Mark Kane and Gary Mc Gettigan hitting the net for their side.
The East Tyrone lads stirred themselves in the second half and launched something of a comeback when they scored three goals in the final six minutes of the game through Rory O’Neill and Aiden Taggart. However a free from Jason Patton settled any Shamrock’s nerves however and they held on to win 4-14 to 4-10.
