Sharpshooters From Weekend
Monday 17.04.2017
Lee Brennan hogged all the headlines at the weekend and rightly so with an outstanding 3-14 in Trillick’s win over Strabane, 3-8 of which came from play. Tyrone teammate Declan McClure also weighed in with an impressive 0-11 as Clonoe won at Greencastle while Johnny Lafferty notched 1-5 but couldn’t prevent Urney from losing at Errigal Ciaran.
In division two Sean Cavanagh was the leading marksman with his 1-7 helping Moy win at Augher. There was a shootout between Gareth Devlin and Peter Hughes with the former scoring 1-6 to help Stewartstown to victory over Eskra, Hughes grabbing 0-8. Martin McCreesh was also in fine form with 1-5 to his name although it wasn’t enough to prevent Rock losing at Kildress.
James Darcy weighed in with 1-7 as Tattyreagh won at Beragh in division three while Cormac Rodgers got 2-2 as Drumquin beat Glenelly. Fergal McKenna got a Hattrick of goals for Clogher but they lost at home to Owen Roes while Niall Gavin hit a superb 1-10 as Derrytresk accounted for Killyman.
