Sperrin Ogs reward for their fantastic victory today is a home tie in the All Ireland series against Claregalway next Sunday in the semi final of the competition. Expect a large crowd to welcome the Ulster Champions home tonight and to get along to support the girls in their semi final match next Sunday.

Sperrin Og are the Ulster Ladies Junior Champions following this massive win for the club. Congratulations to them and to all associated with the club on this historic 3-05 to 0-07 win. That is the first title of the weekend so let’s hope Omagh can make it two out of two tomorrow when they face Lisnaskea.

We are deep into injury time and Inniskeen in their pursuit of the game have another player sin binned just as they were back to fifteen. With time running out it is looking good for Sperrin Og.

With three minutes remaining it is Sperrin Og 3-05, Inniskeen 0-07. Helen Mc Kenna comes on for Amy Mc Cullagh as the Tyrone girls continue to battle for every ball. Can they do it?

Kim Mc Cullagh hits the net for Sperrin Og for her second goal of the game and as the match enters the final ten minutes Sperrin Og now lead by six.

Niamh O’Neill shows great composure and no shortage of skill to land a monster kick from a free out wide on the right, almost on the sideline to restore her side’s three point lead. An inspirational score and Michaela Mc Dermott comes in for Bronagh Warnock. Seventeen minutes played in the second half and Laura Heagney returns to the action for Louise Mc Dermott as Inniskeen are down to fourteen following a sin binning.

Inniskeen still looking dangerous and they convert a thirteen metre free to reduce the gap to two points with twelve minutes of the second half played.

It is Niamh O’Neill with her trusty left foot who shows her older and more experienced colleagues the way forward with the opening score of the second half but Inniskeen draw the game level almost immediately with a goal. S Og 2-03, Inn 1-06. Sorry goal disallowed due to foul on goalkeeper so it is a free out instead and Sperrin Og lead 2-03 to 0-06. We can breathe again.

We are back under way at Truagh and the Greencastle girls, with first half sub Loreto student Niamh O’Neill sure to play a key role, will face another testing thirty minutes of football.

The half time whistle sounds and Sperrin Og jog off after what has been a very tough and physical first half but they are now thirty minutes away from claiming a first Ulster Club title for the girls.

Inniskeen continue to press and with half time rapidly approaching they add another point to their total and the scoreline now reads Sperrin Og 2-02, Inniskeen 0-06. If it stay like this the Greencastle outfit will feel they have had a reasonable first half.

Greencastle girls Sperrin Og know they are up against it facing a very physical Inniskeen side but are putting on a good performance as they approach the last five minutes of the half. They are playing into the breeze in the first half and in spite of losing key players Shauneen Ferrity and Laura Heagney to injury are currently 2-02 to 0-05 ahead following goals from kim Mc Cullagh and Louise Mc Dermott. They are now playing the five minutes of additional time in the first half.
