St.Ciaran’s Ballygawley made a disappointing exit from the Danske Bank MacLarnon Cup when they were beaten by St.Columb’s Derry at Loup on Friday afternoon. The winners led 0-4 to 0-1 at the break with Darragh Canavan getting St.Ciaran’s point with the last kick of the half.

Within three minutes of the restart St.Columb’s had hit 2-2 without reply and there was a long way back for St.Ciaran’s. Conor Shields, Canavan and Daniel Blake all weighed in with points while Conor Quinn was superb in defence but a late goal put gloss on the final scoreboard for the winners as it finished 3-10 to 0-8.
