Dara Kavanagh(2) and Dara Nugent got among the goals for the St Ciaran’s team who managed to build up some scoreboard leverage after good team play.
Sacred Heart served up 2-6 on the day and tried hard throughout in their honest endeavours to reach the final four.
St Ciaran’s now join St Joseph’s of Coalisland, Carrickmore’s Dean Maguirc and Cookstown Holy Trinity in the last four.
At U-14 grade Dean Maguirc and Holy Trinity are into the semi-finals. St Joseph’s v St Ciaran’s and St Patrick’s v Sacred Heart will play off in due course for remaining semi spots.
Semi-finals in both grades are due early in the second half of this month, with finals in late November ahead of Tyrone Vocational All-Star Awards night in early December.
Inter-Schools Ulster Markey Cup U-18 qualification is ongoing and Tyrone’s Inter-County U-18 team face Cavan next Thursday in an Ulster championship opener.
