Danske Bank Corn MacNeasa Final
Inver College Carrickmacross 4-8 St.John’s Dromore 2-6
St.John’s Dromore missed out on the chance to win the Corn MacNeasa Ulster Schools title when they lost out to a strong Inver College side from Carrickmacross in the final at the Peace Link pitch in Clones on Tuesday.
The winners led 2-4 to 1-2 at the break with their goals coming from Macara Crossan and Cathal Jones. Darragh McCann and Harry McMenamin had the points for St.John’s with Oisin Colton bagging their goal late in the half. Points from Aaron McGinn and Colton were followed by a McMenamin goal early in the second half to leave it game on. Inver though sensed the danger and points from Evan Butler and Harry Cassidy coupled with goals from Nathan Duffy and Ryan Freeman saw them emerge as Ulster champions over gallant opponents.
