St. Patrick’s College Dungannon enjoyed a very convincing win over Tyrone rivals Sacred Heart College Omagh in a very exciting Markey Cup game today. The final score line was 2-09 to 0-06 in favour of the East Tyrone seat of learning. Dungannon had built up a two point interval lead 1-03 to 0-04 following a goal and a point from corner back Rory Fox while the other two points came courtesy of a brace of Dara Martin placed balls.
Dungannon took total control of the second half and bossed the game in the second thirty minutes. Kevin Grimley hit the net for his side’s second goal of the game while Donal Mallon, Mark Mc Conville, Jake Ferguson, Caolan Morgan and Dara Martin all scored points for the victors. It ensured Dungannon ran out convincing winners of a very competitive game that was played in the right spirit by 2-09 to 0-06.
