St Patrick’s Maghera retained their Nannery Cup title with a flattering 6-16 to 4-6 victory over St. Patrick’s Dungannon at Lissan this afternoon.

There was little between the sides throughout the first half as Dungannon produced some fine football. Indeed the Academy led midway through the opening thirty minutes with goals from Mark Donnelly and Brendan Havoran and some excellent points from Conor O’Neill and Caolan Corr. Maghera did reach the break four up but within three minutes of the restart the sides were level following a second Mark Donnelly major. Amazingly the Tyrone side failed to score for the remaining twenty seven minutes as the South Derry lads took over and won easily in the end.

Dungannon will be hoping for better luck tomorrow morning when they face St. Macartan’s of Monaghan in the semi final of The Brock Cup. The game will throw in at 10:45 and Truagh in Monaghan is the venue.
