Clinical Tyrone Cruise into All-Ireland Minor C Final with Big Win Over Mayo

All-Ireland Minor C Camogie Semi-Final: Tyrone 6-15 Mayo 0-7

Tyrone delivered a statement performance in the All-Ireland Minor C semi-final, dismantling Mayo with a ruthless 6-15 to 0-7 win to book their place in the final.

From the outset, the Red Hands set the tempo. Emer Cunningham quickly opened the scoring with a sharp point before Aoife Grogan raised the game’s first green flag, finishing confidently. That early spark was just the beginning, as Tyrone’s forwards clicked into gear, with Cunningham adding a string of excellent points—including a long-range effort and another after a neat assist from Grogan.

Catherine Moohan and Gemma Daly chipped in with points, while Tess Daly and Sorcha Hughes added goals that left Mayo reeling. By halftime, Tyrone had surged into a commanding 3-11 to 0-1 lead, Mayo’s only response a free from Marissa Collins.

The second half saw more of the same as Tyrone continued to dominate possession and punish Mayo on the scoreboard. Clare McKee struck for another goal with a composed finish, while Cunningham kept her tally rising. Mayo did show heart, with points from Collins, Aisling Dooley, Ava King, and Molly Farrell, but the contest was already beyond them.

Grogan added two more goals to complete a terrific individual performance, rounding off her day with 3-2. Late scores from McKee and Ellen Rose McKeever capped off a complete team effort from a Tyrone side brimming with confidence and cohesion.

Standout performances came from Emer Cunningham, who finished with 0-10, Aoife Grogan with a hat-trick and more, and goalkeeper Hollie Croucher, who provided a calm and commanding presence in the backline. Captain Niamh McElduff also impressed, leading from the middle of the park and setting the tone for her team’s relentless energy.

With such a convincing semi-final showing, Tyrone now head into the All-Ireland Minor C Final full of momentum and belief.
