Brocagh hosted Errigal Thirds and Fintona faced Coalisland Fianna Thirds in the two remaining Division 3 league games from the weekend.
The Pearses and the Fianna served up a real high scoring and very entertaining game before the west Tyrone side emerged 4-12 to 2-13 winners. Goals from Paul Martin, Connor Mc Gillion (2) and Cathal Starrs proved decisive with points from Starrs (3), Mc Gillion (6),Jared Brogan, Matthew Mc Glinn and Aiden Donnelly helping Fintona to back to back wins for the first time this season. Coalisland ran their opponents close throughout with Gerard Woods bagging 2-2 and Shea Rankin (0-4), Kevin Corr (0-3), Martin Hughes (0-2) and Gerard Quinn (0-2) all contributing to their team’s tally.
Brocagh welcomed Errigal Ciaran to the lough shore on Tuesday evening and took a while to get going as Errigal produced a very impressive opening half hour. When the half time whistle sounded Errigal were 1-2 to 0-3 ahead with Emmett Hackett getting the all important goal for the visitors. With ten minutes of the second half gone the Dunmoyle lads had moved 1-5 to 0-5 ahead with their points coming from Peter Loughran, Paul Traynor, Ryan Cassidy and Tiarnan Colhoun.
However entering the final quarter Brocagh finally shook off their first half lethargy and led by Mickey Hughes (6), Owen Canavan (2), Michael Robinson (2) and Barry Donnelly (2) the Emmetts restricted Errigal to a single Peter Loughran point to win by three on a final score line of 0-12 to 1-6.
