Cookstown got the better of Brocagh in their weekend contest with Matthew Carberry once more leading the way in scoring terms. Carberry finished with seven points out of his team”s tally of 0-13 while veteran Marty Murray and Barry Potter both finished with a brace apiece. As usual Mickey Hughes top scored for Brocagh with 0-4 while Warren Kinsella (1-0) and Barry Donnelly (0-2) also chipped in for the Emmetts.

Eskra and CNG served up a high scoring encounter with Eskra taking the points on a final score of 2-21 to 2-12. First half goals from Joe Mc Carroll and Johnny Hackett helped Eskra reach the break leading 2-10 to 1-7. Ciaran Kerlin bagged the CNG first half goal while Danny Ball (4) and Shea Browne (2) were also on target during the opening thirsty minutes. Kerlin added a second goal and Shea Browne landed 0-5 after the break but that was not enough to deny the Emmetts the points. Conor O’Hagan 0-4, Peter Hughes 0-7, Cathal Meegan 0-3 and Aaron Kelly 0-2 were among the points for the winners.

Derrytresk prevailed over Urney in their game winning 1-11 to 0-9. Shea Tennyson was in outstanding form for the Hill Men kicking 0-6 while Caolan Corr’s first half goal helped Derrytresk reach the break leading 1-7 to 0-4. Urney struggled to get into the game with Johnny Lafferty (3) and Stevie Lafferty (2) both well marshalled. 

Drumragh had plenty to spare over Killyman winning 0-20 to 0-6. Eoin Montgomery, Tommy Murphy, Kevin Marron, Ronan Maguire , Gareth Mc Grath, Martin Taggart, Cormac Norris, Gareth Haughey and Paul Maguire were all on target for the winners as the Sarsfields enjoyed their biggest win of the season. Killyman struggled at times with the pace and movement of their opponents but battled right to the end. Niall McAlinden 0-2, Ronan Mc Veigh 0-1, Cathal Mc Gahan 0-1, Eamon Donnelly 0-1 and Paul Mv Veigh did the scoring for Killyman.

Seamus Harkin (9)was back on scoring form for Glenelly who shared the points with Drumquin on a 1-16 to 1-16 score line. Cathal Nicholas chipped in with 0-3 for his side while Nathan Mc Laughlin got his team’s goal. Drumquin’s Matty Mc Dermott equalled Harkin’s total with nine points while Ryan Mc Callion bagged 1-3 and Barry Gormley 0-2 for the Wolfe Tones.

Castlederg travelled to a Fintona and after a competitive game went home with the points winning 2-8 to 0-10. Despite being minus several regulars the home side put up a battling display pushing their opponents all the way to the end. Adan Traynor (1-2) and Cain Harper (1-1) got the all important goals for the Derg while Sean Harper (2) and Brian Coyle (2) were among the points.
