Urney enjoyed two wins over the weekend defeating Fintona and Brocagh. The Fintona game took place on Friday and the border men made sure they got the weekend off to a good start defeating the Pearses 6-11 to 1-12. Johnny Lafferty (1-5) top scored while PJ Mc Menamin, Kyle Henry, Jake Lafferty and Chris Bogle all found the net. Urney found Brocagh a tougher nut to crack but won by six in the end 1-13 to 0-10. Mickey Hughes hit all but one of his team’s points while Johnny Lafferty (0-8) and Colin Campbell (1-1) top scored for Urney.

Killyman led at half time 0-7 to 1-3but could not maintain their first half form allowing Fintona to play themselves back into the game before they took the points on a score line of 1-11 to 0-9. Ronan Mc Veigh (2) and Enda Mc Gahan were among the points for Killyman.

Errigal Ciaran Thirds pushed Eskra all the way before the Emmetts emerged victorious and League champions winning on a score line 0-16 to 3-3.  Errigal put themselves in a strong position at the break as they bagged three first half goals. However with Joe Mc Carroll (4) and Peter Hughes(8) pulling the strings Eskra upped the ante after the break to take the win and lift the league title. 

Castlederg defeated neighbours Drumquin at the weekend in a game that once again saw Adam Traynor top score with 0-6. Fintan Gallagher hit the net for the Derg while Patrick Porter, Bradley Devine and Ronan Devine each bagged a brace of points. Sean Mc Donagh (1-1), Cormac Rodgers (1-3) and Matty Mc Dermott (0-2) accounted for most of the Drumquin total.

Cookstown are certainly finding form at the right time of the season with their latest win over Brackaville on a score line of 6-17 to 1-11. Veteran John Gilmore led the line with 2-1 while Peter Mc Gurk (1-4), Conor O’Hare (1-1), Matthew Mc Neill (1-0) and Oisin Mc Nia (1-0) all bagged goals. Eoin Donnelly (3), Sean Mc Laughlin (2) and Matthew Carberry (2) were among the points for the Fr Rocks.
